The artist
Raised on music.
Built for the stage.
Growing up south of San Antonio, Texas, Matthew was raised in a musical and artistic household. Surrounded by authors and music, it was only natural that he fell in love with songwriting. He has written more than 460 songs and, performing as Matthew A. Butter, has released three albums and several singles available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify and YouTube.
His sound blends country, rock, soul, and pop. Live sets move from The Beatles to George Strait and the Eagles, with timeless favorites such as “My Girl” and “Stand by Me.” Matthew performs mainly solo acoustic, but can appear as a duo or with a full band to fit the venue and occasion.
Every performance brings together songs, stories, and laughter in an atmosphere of entertainment, reflection, and optimism.
